Tuesday's Top Five: MLB All-Star Moments

Here's the second installment of Tuesday's Top Five, and this time, we are looking at my personal top five MLB All-Star Moments in my time on earth.  Meaning I have probably seen anywhere from 13 or so All-Star Games thefore yes, Pete Rose is not on this list because I wasn't even a glimmer in my parents' eyes.

The All-Star Games are one of those things that people will always watch whether they intend to or not especially when it comes to baseball.  It is the only thing on TV until 9:30 when 'Workaholics' comes on, but usually, it's the only thing on during the summer.  Then the day after is the most boring day in all of sports and life for the most part.  Here are my top five All-Star moments, if you got a better list then create your own blog!  No really, send me suggestions on the comments section below or tweet me (@SnoTap12)

5.) The 15 Inning Bronx Affair- I remember watching the game from my buddy Doz's house, and we had to go to work early in the morning. For some reason, we were captivated by game that just decided homefield advantage, but it did.  We were greatly disappointed when Michael Young brought in Justin Morneau despite a great throw by Milwaukee Brewers' outfielder Corey Hart.

4.) Pedro sits down five-  The Boston All-Star Game had a ton of moments. Ted Williams threw out the first pitch, and it ended up being one of the last time we would see one of the best ever. That season, Pedro Martinez had a great season so far, and he struck out five out of the first six batters.  Guys like Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, all full of steroids and Pedro sat them down.0  Pedro was the man.

3.) Prince wins it for the NL- Think about this one for a second, the Milwaukee Brewers were in contention more so than 2008, and had their best chance to win the division since 1982.  The bandwagon for them to the World Series started to fill up, and Prince Fielder hitting a homer to give the National League the win.  Add to the fact, Fielder got booed throughout the week for not taking Justin Upton in the Home Run Derby; it was a great FU from Fielder.

2.) Cal Ripken goes yard- 2001's All-Star Game ended up being a time to remember how great a career Cal Ripken Jr. had throughout the years.  He started third base with Alex Rodriguez at shortstop, but they switched positions for the first inning. Then Ripken added to the moment by hitting a home run to pull the American League ahead of the National League for the win getting the MVP of the All-Star Game.  Awesome moment.

1.) That GD Tie- The 2002 season, the Milwaukee Brewers had nothing to play for.  They were 33-55, but at least, the All-Star Game came to The Keg in July. Despite the unbearable weather, the Home Run Derby could not have been more awesome, and then Torii Hunter made the best play in All-Star Game history.  This had every reason to be memorable for all the right reasons, except they ended up calling the game in an 11th inning tie causing national outrage.  Gee thanks, guys.
