Even though it has been a bad year for Milwaukee thus far, Mitch Pratt and Charlie Tritschler will provide you with a bi-weekly update on the Bucks ranging from recaps, links and other neat stuff.
Hot Recap TakesFriday: Bucks 119 Cavaliers 116 - Bucks win! Bucks win! They played strong on Friday night by beating the suddenly helpless Cavaliers team. It is good to see Milwaukee get a win at home for those still surviving this dreadful season. Brandon Knight led the scoring with 24 points being one of five players in double figures on Friday. The two most notable would be Chris Wright with 14 points including some great highlight reel plays, and John Henson with 15 points and six rebounds. Even though Ramon Sessions playing 40 plus minutes is somewhat amazing, he is dropping in the buckets with 20 points and seven assists. Overall solid Bucks win as they are dormie with the tank right now.
Saturday: Wizards 104 Bucks 91 - No Brandon Knight in this one, and it hindered the Bucks performance as they fail to win back-to-back games likely becoming the fifth team in NBA history without a winning streak all season. They also guaranteed the league's worst record meaning the worst they would pick in the NBA lottery would be third overall. Bradley Beal continues to be a thorn in the Bucks side as he went for 26 points on 12/22 shooting along with five assists. Marcin Gortat also played well inside getting a double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Sessions once again got over 40 minutes and had a pretty solid game in Knight's absence with 20 points.
Thank you - This is the last Bucks Buzz for me of the season, and I would just like to say thanks for reading us every week. We decided we wanted to ramp up our Wisconsin sports coverage, and this really helped things. We did get additions from Mitch Pratt as well being the truest of Bucks fans on this staff plus Andrew Kasmarek added a few things here and there. I loved the fact we stuck with it amid a terrible season for Milwaukee's professional basketball team. I do have a feeling in a couple years we will look back and laugh at this year like we did with Milwaukee Brewers' 2003 season. We will definitely continue Bucks Buzz next season, and as Bucks news breaks this offseason, Mitch or I will have you covered without a doubt.
What to Watch For
Once again, the links are rather dried up at the end of the year. We have pimped this out before, but Save Our Bucks has an event on Wednesday plus you can get a Giannis shirt jersey if you go to the game on Wednesday against Atlanta. Mitch and I might make an appearance at the Save Our Bucks event so make sure you say hi, if you happen to be there.
Upcoming Schedule
The season ends with a road trip to Toronto tonight and a game against the Hawks at home on Wednesday. Then we wait until the draft lottery.
Charlie.
