We are running back the previews from last season where we feature the pitching matchups, five things to watch and a prediction. Recaps from last series will be added as we are getting rid of Highlights-Lowlights in favor of The BrewCap which are 300-500 word recaps after the game. I am also going to add the road series too because it's the same team and why cause any more work.
Probable Pitchers
Tuesday: Danny Salazar vs. Matt Garza 7:10 pm FSWI
Wednesday: Cody Anderson vs. Kyle Lohse 1:10 pm 620 WTMJ
Five Things to Watch
1. Nine games to decide the season - Hyperbole? No sir or ma'am. If the Brewers can win seven of their next nine say, the front office will have a ton to think about at the Trade Deadline. This would make Milwaukee six games under .500 and still a slim chance at the Wild Card. The road isn't exactly easy with Cleveland, a big-hitting, light on pitching Arizona team and San Francisco. The last two on the road. Milwaukee only plays eight games on the road in August which might be a determent to a team 10 games under .500 at home.
2. The terrible twosome - Big week for Kyle Lohse and Matt Garza. Both of these pitchers could be on the chopping block. If Milwaukee cannot make a trade, I have a feeling Lohse will be released and possibly Garza heads to the bullpen if Milwaukee wants to explore young talent. Lohse needs two big starts to make his case to some team because I really don't think his days are much longer on the team with Wily Peralta getting ready to come back.
3. Cody Anderson's early brilliance - Milwaukee will have to deal with emerging rookie pitcher Cody Anderson for Cleveland. Anderson is the first pitcher in the Modern Era to only allow one run or less in 6 2/3 innings in his first four starts. Anderson pitched against Tampa Bay (twice), Pittsburgh and Houston. I'm not saying Anderson is due for a blowup, but Houston/Pittsburgh are strikeout happy plus Tampa isn't good at all.

4. Offense is coming at a premium for the Indians - Cleveland aren't getting many runs for the month of July. Indians do not have one batter over .300 for the month with Francisco Lindor making a possible next step. Brandon Moss leads the team in homers for the month with three, but he holds a marginal .170 average. Cleveland has ran hot and cold with multiple game winning and losing streaks. Unlucky for Milwaukee, Indians won two straight before coming to town.
5. Milwaukee's weird streak against Cleveland - This is strange, but Cleveland hasn't beat the Brewers since 2001. The last two times these teams faced off in interleague, Milwaukee swept both series. I'm pulling for this to keep happening until the end of time.
Prediction
Prediction
As much as I would love to see a sweep here, they will split the series. I cannot trust both Garza and Lohse to pitch well even against a meek Indians offense.
Charlie.
