BrewCap Weekend: The Cincinnati Split

Milwaukee Brewers had a decent week.  They had a sandwich with great bread and real shitty meat winning their first two games to start the week then the final two games to end the week. Milwaukee finds a way to get two in Cincinnati even though their starting pitching put them down by more than three runs in both games.

Players of the Weekend
Aaron Hill - What a game for him with three home runs on Saturday night including a Grand Slam in the 10th which gave Milwaukee the lead. Hill helped single-handily make Milwaukee a winner on Saturday night. Hopefully, this can jumpstart Hill. He could be tasty trade bait if he keeps this up.

Jonathan Lucroy - It's been awhile since we've seen Lucroy be this hot. He had another big game on Sunday with go-ahead home run as well as a double. Lucroy had five hits in his last 10 at-bats including two homers. He's worked his average all the way up to .327. Expect to hear those trade rumors start up again.

Golden Sombrero Winner
Starting pitching: This is going to be something continually bitched about with the Brewers, but they cannot seem to figure out at all. Derek Johnson shouldn't be held accountable yet, and it could be due to Milwaukee having no talent at all in that role.

Next up
Milwaukee faces Miami for a three-game set in South Beach. Brewers will see not only Jose Fernandez tonight but also Adam Conley who nearly threw a no-no against the team a couple Fridays ago.

Charlie.
