Player of the Game (Thunder): Russell Westbrook - Once again, Russ leads a comeback in the third quarter. He's point guard Elway finding a way to lead the team back from the depths of hell. Golden State led by 13 points at halftime, and Westbrook dropped 19 of 38 points in the third quarter. Oklahoma City was back. Westbrook stole seven passes as well which is a great feat.
Player of the Game (Warriors): Steph Curry - He nearly had a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists yet this isn't one where we're applauding all of Steph. He disappeared down the stretch in the fourth quarter. Why he didn't get more touches is beyond me. Curry needs to work more towards the ball in the final minutes of the game. I wonder if that instinct doesn't kick it as often given how much Golden State won this year
Highlight: Donovan pushing all the right buttons - Check one of the NBA podcasts Bill Simmons did with Haralbob, they trashed Billy D. Called him Scott Brooks and all this other stuff. Donovan is showing why he's a great coach with all of the decisions made with this team. He's found a way to accelerate Westbrook then tone down Kevin Durant and vice versa. Donovan also madeDion Waiters a competent bench player and Enes Kanter plays a little defense.
Lowlight: Golden State left the door open - Oklahoma City gave the Warriors a chance to comeback in the fourth and no one capitalized on it. For as good of an overall game Westbrook had, he didn't shoot well. Same goes for Durant. Yet still, Golden State managed to lose that game. Not to mention, Westbrook and Durant went 17-61 and still won.
What's Next? - Cleveland plays Toronto tonight at the Q and we meet again for this series on Wednesday night.
