Closing Time: Gophers Get Rare Hockey Buzzer Beater
I am willing to admit that I did not watch a single minute of this game. I enjoy college hockey, but we had Milwaukee's professional baseball team sweeping Philadelphia plus The Challenge, America's fifth greatest professional spot premiered tonight. But my Twitter feed lit up with saying there was a buzzer beater in the game between Minnesota and North Dakota. Sure enough, that's what happen. Justin Holl drills in the back of the net for the game winner. Absolutely incredible. The Gophers get a goal with .06 seconds left to go in the game to beat their rivals from the west. What a moment for Minnesota in the Frozen Four and what a complete dick punch for North Dakota. One minute, they think 'Overtime, time to strike' to 'Did that really happen.' Minnesota will take on Union in the final.
Charlie.
