The Challenge: Free Agents Preseason Power Rankings

Yes another season of The Challenge is upon us. Hard to believe this is their 25th season of it.  We are doing the rankings like we usually do starting from the worst making our way to the top.  We will rank them every Thursday. Preseason rankings will definitely change next week because we will know a lot more about the season.

28.) Preston, The Real World New Orleans - Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons have players that 'Cash them checks' and Preston is an all-timer when it comes to cashing checks for Challenge appearances.

27.) Brandon, The Real World: Fresh Meat II - If we were going with party power rankings for The Challenge, he would be in the top five.

26.) LaToya The Real World St. Thomas - Sorry, I have no idea who she is. I wish I did, but I have no book on her.

25.) Deyvn, The Real World Brooklyn - Remember Brooklyn made a push in the team competition, but Deyvn did not have a huge part it in.

24.) Aneesa, The Real World Chicago - AND NOW THE PAULA WALNUTS "I'VE BEEN HERE FAR TOO LONG" AWARD GOES TO ANEESA. CONGRATULATIONS.

23.) Theresa, The Challenge: Fresh Meat - I could see her making a push here, but if she makes quick enemies, her chances will be napalmed. Yes, that's obvious but honestly, she has no friends here.

22.) Chet, The Real World Brooklyn - I think this ranking has to do with my vendetta against Chet. I cannot stand him. He usually finds a way to stick around for longer than expected though.

21.) Jonna, The Real World Cancun - This might be too high. She is not that great of a player, but somehow finds a way to keep her head above water which impresses me.

20.) Jessica, The Real World Portland - I can just see my tweets bitching about her whiny attitude. With no encouragement from a team, I could see her crumbling like a house of cards and T.J. Lavin criticizing her for quitting.

19.) Issac, The Real World Sydney - I will say the same thing about Cohutta, but old guys that haven't been here for awhile scare me. Issac was always a comic relief for the season and a party animal. If something changed, I will take him seriously.

18.) Jemmye, The Real World New Orleans - Disrespect for someone in a final mission last year?  Maybe. But I could see her having some difficulties in a Free Agent atmosphere. She tends to burn way too many bridges.

17.) Swift, The Real World St. Thomas - I really see nothing here, but the fact he has some muscles to him makes me think he could make a little noise. I wouldn't look too much into him for the time being. Let's see how he does in the first couple episodes.

16.) Jasmine, The Real World Cancun - I knocked her down a couple pegs because my expectations for Jazzy are always so high then she lets me down. Whether it be she struggles in a mission or goes crazy on everybody, she doesn't put it all together.

15.) Dustin, The Real World Las Vegas - I would put him higher if I knew he would not go home because of a cut in his knee. I question his competitive nature.  He takes a lot of shit for being a former male porn star, but he still can play with the best of them.

14.) Cohutta, The Real World Sydney - Older players who haven't played the game in a long time scare the shit out of me. Basically, Robin taught me that lesson a couple years back so I proceed with caution. Cohutta has been good in Challenges, but let's see what happens.

13.) Johnny, The Real World Portland - I will picture him as Johnny Manziel because he looks just like him. We might need to call him Johnny Challenge if he starts dominating. This would be my rookie to watch. I would put him higher if I knew he would play the game right, but he could be there at the end.

12.) Cara Maria, The Challenge: Fresh Meat II - People act like she isn't a contender, but she damn well is one.  Laurel and her became friends in the first Rivals meaning she will have the best player in her back pocket. She found a way to gut out a final mission and led it for awhile with Heather. Watch out for her.

11.) Nia, The Real World Portland - HURRICANE NIA RISES AGAIN!!!  I am so happy she is here and hope she lasts long yet I could see her being ousted in the first couple weeks. She is diabolical. Only Jordan and Johnny know that part of her. She could really be a true threat to Laurel if she plays it the right way in the first couple weeks.

10.) Emilee, The Real World Cancun - Adam and I talked about her being a sneaky member of this group. I am going to put at 10 which might be high, but she is a competitor. Other thing I love about Emilee's chances is the dramatics aren't there from her plus I could see a tag team effort with Laurel which would be huge for her.

9.) Camila, The Real World Spring Break? - My girl. I just realized we get Nia and Camila in the same house which is about as exciting as Christmas Day. She is this high for the drama she brings, but at the same time, she has been crafty in finding her way to the Final last season.  Don't be surprised if she breaks a lamp then wins a Challenge in the same episode.

8.) Jordan, The Real World Portland - Too high or just right?  Remember Portland's team made a massive push last season and found themselves in the final. Jordan was a major reason. If he can keep his emotions in control and not burn too many bridges, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a top five player in this game.

7.) Johnny Bananas, The Real World Key West - Usually, I would put Bananas in the top three. He is that good of a competitor in The Challenge. I have called him the Michael Jordan of The Challenge and I mean it. But this is a new wrinkle for The Challenge's MJ. If he finds a way to still play his game with it, no doubt Bananas is in the top five.

6.) Nany, The Real World Las Vegas - If there was a time for her to take advantage, it would be this Challenge set-up. She tends to not make many friends as Nany tends to overreact and get mad at people. She could cut everyone out and play the game her way. Remember Nany as an athlete is pretty good even though it doesn't seem like it.

5.) Frank, The Real World San Diego - Frank and Zach have been attached to the hip, but Frank plays the game better than Zach. I am curious to know whether people are sick of Frank's shit and finally understand it yet people never seem to learn this key component. Frank will scheme his way to the top like he has done before. I doubt Frank will be out in the first five episodes, but The Challenge can be unpredictable.

4.) Leroy, The Real World Las Vegas - He might be a little nice for this moment, but Roy Lee always seems to be a forgotten man when it comes to 'Great Challenge' players. Leroy doesn't play the game well enough which could be a real problem in this season. Playing the game will be HUGE in this one and Leroy being everyone's friend is a worry.

3.) Zach, The Real World San Diego - The biggest wild cards in the top five are Zach and Frank. Both dominated by using team work, but better individual athletes. I could see Zach being very successful. And I could see him going down in a heap of flames. Zach is also batshit nuts meaning we could easily see him fly off the handle with these cast of characters.

2.) CT, The Real World Paris - He is one of the defending champions from last season, and he deserves to be known as one. He is always a free agent so this is house money for CT. I do think the personalities in this house could be the end of him. This seems like a bad crop for CT and could get into some scuffles.  He will be a big contender or eliminated early on, no in-between.

1.) Laurel, The Challenge: Fresh Meat - Without question, the top spot goes to Laurel. She hasn't been in a Challenge in a couple years, but she holds the belt with Emily when it comes to "Best Challenge Female." What I am interested to see is how she interacts with about half of these people because she hasn't done a season with them. I have a feeling she will excel in a Free Agent competition.

Charlie.
