Roundball Wrap Up: Week of April 7th

Your favorite inconsistent NBA post is back from last year!  I never really had a full grasp on how to do this blog, but I think I have figured it out. There will be similar elements from Bucks Buzz, but in reality, it will be its own post on Wednesday (Or Thursday). I do not really have a time for when it will be up but there will be all sorts of random shit I happen to come across on the Internet plus some thoughts about the week that was.

Players of the Week
James Harden - He has won this award a couple times this season, but The Beard deserves the title once again. He is playing great basketball right now with averaging 31 points in his last five games. The interesting thing about Harden's recent success is the ability to fill up the stat sheet more than normal. In the last two games, Harden had double digit assist numbers and had nine rebounds on Friday night against Oklahoma City. He looks poised for a long postseason run which is good news for Houston.

Andre Drummond - Detroit Pistons did not really have the season they wanted this year, but at least, Drummond is playing his ass in the last couple of games. In the last three games, Drummond is averaging 18.3 rebounds a game which is pretty incredible. Drummond can really grab the boards and clean the glass. He also is scoring as well averaging nearly 17 points a game which is four points above his season average. Drummond took another step this week, and that's important for the future of Detroit. Look for him to make the leap next year.

This week in Kevin Durant
This was a bullshit week by Durant. He ends up breaking Michael Jordan's best of 40 games with 25 points or more, then says he doesn't like the pressure and ends up only scoring 23 points missing the fourth quarter in a Thunder win. I understand why Durant did this, but who really gives a shit about the pressure? If you can't handle this, how the hell are you handling a Game 6 or 7 in the NBA Finals? I hate to sound like an old journalist, but c'mon man, who gives a shit about pressure to score 25. No one is freaking out if you only score 20 points. Well maybe ESPN. So I guess I get from KD.

'I am not mad, I am disappointed' Player of the Week
LeBron James had a bad week for his haterz. He wore a Pharrell hat after Friday's night game which looked horrible on him and I don't think he was kidding about his fashion choice. I have a bigger issue with this look versus what he did after the Brooklyn . What he did was openly complain about not getting the final call of the game, and people jumped all over him. I am not mad at him for being upset, but it just gives his detractors more fuel.

Team of the Week
Chicago Bulls - We have given them this award a couple times, but right now, they are hot winning their last eight of 10 games including winning their last five games. Currently, they are tied for third place in the Eastern Conference and you know they want the three seed to play Indiana in the second round versus seeing Miami. It is a tricky spot because Indiana is struggling meaning they are probably going to take the two seed in attempt to fix their team, but if the Pacers end up as a one, Chicago gets Miami they would be disappointed. Can we also stop with the Derrick Rose rumors? Let this version of the Bulls team get a chance.

Team of the Weak
Atlanta Hawks - It is pretty gross a team with under 40 wins will be in the playoffs whether it be Atlanta or New York. We saw this with the Bucks last season too as they won 38 games before getting swept by Miami. There is a chance Atlanta or New York will not come to that 38 win mark unless they reel off a couple wins in a row. Currently, the Hawks have dropped their last seven of 10 games and lost at home by double-digits to the lowly Pistons.

SnoTap Medical Injury Report
David Lee - Another week, another injury for Golden State. As Dubs fight for a playoff spot (Currently in the sixth position, three games up on ninth seeded Memphis), they might be missing their power forward for the rest of the season and some of the playoffs. He is bothered by a hamstring injury and those can be very tricky to deal with. Warriors have won playoff series without him, but losing Lee creates a void on offense.

The week in GIFs, Vines, Instagram, Tweets and everything else.

BAH GAWD KING NICK COLLISON IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN.

DeMar DeRozan looks funny in a baseball uniform. I don't know why.

Good news, JR Smith made 10 threes. Bad news, he shot 22 of them.

A hipster in a sea of trees. Robin Lopez fits in the best.
