Playoff Buzz: We The Midwest - Cavs Continue to Roll

With Cleveland Cavaliers getting roughly a week off, people expected a letdown. It was only fair. Cleveland won eight straight games and looked like an unstoppable force. Toronto Raptors appeared to get their shit together in the final couple games of series against the Miami Heat. But it was much of the same with the Cavs as they absolutely rolled the Raptors with a 115-84 ass-kicking to establish dominance once again. Are the Cavs really this good?  Was the Eastern Conference having all these great teams, fools’ gold?  Is this the first time we’ve really seen FU Mode by LeBron James? All of these questions are on the table right now.

Player of the Game (Cavaliers): LeBron James – Once again, King James had a huge game in the playoffs. James did all of his work around the rim which might be the scariest part of his night. LeBron is no longer worried about shooting it from deep and that should terrify the remaining three teams. James finished with 24 points and only missed two shots.

Player of the Game (Raptors): DeMar DeRozan – There’s not much to say about this one. He had 18 points and it was the team-high yet there’s nothing from the Raptors in this game.  DeRozan did the best he could as he continues his relative hot streak.

Highlight: Tyronn Lue deserves some credit – Just like we did on Tuesday with Billy Donovan, we’re doing the same with Tyronn Lue. He figured out how to play these three guys together, and it’s working better than anyone thought it could be. Kevin Love is finally playing to the level we expected when Cleveland traded for him. Kyrie Irving is looking like a top 10 player, and if this continues, it’s fair to talk about him in the top five. There isn’t one concern about this team and that’s really rare this deep in the playoffs.

Lowlight: Kyle Lowry needs to be better – Simply put, Kyle Lowry cannot be this quiet if the Raptors want to actually make this a series. Lowry scored only eight points and didn’t factor into this game. This is the same player who had 43 points in this arena earlier this season. Maybe he was a little rundown from the series against the Heat, but Lowry needs to answer the bell in a big way.

What's Next? -  Oklahoma City-Golden State Game 2 tonight should be a doozy. How does Toronto respond on Thursday night as Cleveland continues to smell blood in the water?
